The Turkish public organization “Black Sea Association of Ukrainians” has joined the global environmental project “Greening of the Planet
and has contributed to the restoration of the planet’s ecosystem.
On April 10, the Head of the Consular Section of Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Turkey – Andriy Bilyk and Lyudmila Shymko, chairman and ideological leader of the public organization “Black Sea Association of Ukrainians” took part in the action that took place in the large park of Samsun city – “Alanlı Mesire Yeri”, which was designated for picnics and promenades. The event was held with the support from the representatives of the Ukrainian community, along with the mayor of Samsun, Orman İşletme Müdürlüğü Menderes Özkolay and the representatives of Samsun forestry, the TEMA VAKFI Leman GÜRSES Foundation, the mayor of the Atacum district, Cemil Deveci, and the deputy Şeref Aydın, as well as Turkish and Ukrainian media. Together, they have planted such trees as linden and Judas tree with a total number of 50.
Sir Consul, Andriy Bilyk, noted that the Ukrainian community is planning to plant viburnum!
